Question:As a transmission owner, what should I do if I need to put in a ticket but cannot find a certain piece of equipment in eDART?
Answer:The eDART database is defined based on the PJM Energy Management System (EMS) database. If you cannot find a piece of equipment in the eDART database, either it is not modeled in the EMS or your company has not been given access to the facility. If you need immediate assistance, please get in touch with the PJM Power Dispatcher (PD) or Reliability Engineer (RE).
Please use the Notification Request form to request rights to an existing EMS facility. To request adjustment for facilities your company has rights to, you must have formal permission from your company’s Systems Operations Subcommittee – Transmission (SOS-T) representative. The representative must email eDART equipment notification stating his/her approval.
If the facility in question does not exist in the EMS, and thus not in the eDART database, submit equipment for the nearest facility and clearly note the discrepancy in the ticket comments. Please direct coordination between your company’s EMS engineering group and PJM to ensure the accuracy of the model.
